While the list is ever growing currently it covers most accommodation across key areas such as Eryri, Pembrokeshire, Peak District, The Lake District, Cornwall, North Yorkshire and Scotland.

We built it to make finding basecamp for your next adventure as easy as possible.

Bed counts are published capacity. They do not show availability for a date. Some club huts reserve places for members. Check access, arrival directions and availability with the operator.

Searching for your basecamp made easy

This is a listings site where seeking out a basecamp for your latest adventure is made easy. We give you all the information you need to make a decision on location before handing you off directly to the owners of the accommodation to sort out dates and payments. No fuss, no middlemen taking a slice.

All the right information

You’re gonna want to know the crucial stuff like how many beds does the place have? Does it have a well stocked kitchen and that all important - are showers available. Oh, and we checked out how many of the huts have a pub within 1000m!

Know what the location pin means.

Some pins identify a shared site or village. Each detail page keeps the source and location note so you know exactly where your basecamp is.

Search your way.

Try “bunkhouses in Snowdonia with 20 beds” or a hut, club or place name. Common typos are supported. “Near” a recognised town or village searches within 10km; you can change the radius. Distances are straight-line estimates. Other places match address text, as indicated above the map. Try adding Wi-Fi, showers or a pub nearby. Dates and availability must be checked with the operator. Bunkhouses includes bunkbarns.
